At Fork & Salad, we want healthy eating to involve the whole family. That’s why our keiki menu provides fast, convenient, nutritional food for kids of all ages, giving parents good reason to bring the whole crew in to dine.
Our keiki menu is diverse, but also well-rounded nutritionally. For instance, our “Chicken & Shrimp with Quinoa” is gluten-free and packed with protein, fiber and complex carbohydrates. Additionally, it includes the choice between a green salad or seasonal fruit cup; all that for only $8.50. Another popular menu item is the “Mini Build-Your-Own Salad.” It’s basically a keiki version of our regular build-your-own salad. Kids get excited to pick their greens, dressing and five ingredients; then they can add protein for a tad more. It’s a great way to get them involved in choosing healthy foods, and to help teach them about their favorite ingredients.

We want Maui’s keiki to learn early on that fresh and healthy food can also be delicious food! The vibrant colors of the cold line ingredients alone are memorable, but more importantly, kids are learning the importance of eating locally and the tasting the difference that comes straight from a Maui farm, versus shipped from the mainland. We hope that early exposure to fresh, local foods will foster a greater respect and awareness about how their choices can impact Maui’s agriculture and our precious island as a whole.
When kids — and grown-ups — gain and share that knowledge, we can build healthier communities. Period. Less diabetes, heart disease and other medical issues. Better eating habits that can last a lifetime. What it means for our island is a new generation of kids ready and willing to support local in all ways possible, because it’s not just the “in” thing to do, but because it’s simply the right thing to do…and it’s delicious! Hopefully sooner than later, that awareness in flavor and freshness will create noticeable returns for Maui’s farms and economy. But right now, we just want kids to learn to taste that difference.
