Fork & Salad’s Very First Produce Pick-up

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I53LVK6alBQ

We are VERY excited to be picking up our first rounds of produce for Fork & Salad, within days of opening.  We pulled our truck up at a few local farms and filled it with all kinds of fresh fruits and veggies.  Come along on our journey in this video!

Our concept of #EatLocalEatHealthy is in full swing, and we’re extremely proud to be partnering with so many local farmers and suppliers:

-Olapono Farms
-Waipoli Hydroponic Farms
-CN Farms
-Hāna Fresh
-Waihe‘e Macadamia Nut Farm
-Aloha Āina Organics
-Maui Dragon Fruit Farm
-Zuhair’s Maui Tomatoes
-Kawamata Farms
-Escobedo Farms
-Otani Farms
-Watanabe farms
-Evonuk Farms
-LOE Farms
-Mā‘alaea Farms
-Ono Farms
-Kumu
-Oko‘a

Other partners
-Maui Cattle Co.
-Makaweli Ranch (lamb)
-Maui Pasta (foccacia)
-Home Maid Bakery (bread)
-Surfing Goat Dairy
-Tamashiro Tofu
-Various local fishermen
-Big Wave Organics (kombucha, Nitro coffee)

We hope to be picking up fresh produce at least three times a week, depending on ingredients, harvests and availability.  But expect this local bounty to be filling up practically our ENTIRE walk-in cooler!

Supporting local means striving toward securing the agricultural future of Maui and being mindful of our precious land and resources. It’s especially important for our keiki as the population grows on our little island, and we are honored to be part of this movement!  Mahalo for supporting us, and Maui.
