We Use Olive Oil in our Housemade Dressings (and Here’s WHY)!

Olive oil is known to have proven health benefits.  It’s a simple, natural oil that’s extracted from olives, the fruit of the olive tree.  According to Healthline data, olive oil largely contains oleic acid, which can reduce inflammation and even affect genes linked to cancer.  It’s also been associated with a lower risk of stroke and heart disease.

At Fork & Salad, we use olive oil in all of our nine housemade dressings, which are also gluten-free.  These were chef-inspired to jive with our signature salads, and each one has its own unique flavor profile.   They include vegan dressings like our Cilantro-smoked Chili, Miso Ginger, Meyer Lemon-Herb, Roasted Garlic Balsamic and Avocado Lime.  In our video above, co-owner/chef Travis Morrin also showcases our Green Goddess, Lilikoi-Mango and Thai Lemongrass dressings.

If you’re in the mood to build your own salad, we also offer olive oil with balsamic vinegar, red wine vinegar or squeeze of lemon as dressing options.

Want to take some of our delicious dressings home with you?  Easy!!  You can purchase them at check-out, and now they’re available in our awesome Fork & Salad mason jars as an earth-friendly option!  Come on in, enjoy a salad and ask us about it.  #EatLocalEatHealthy
