Advice for First Timers at Fork & Salad

If you walk in our doors for the first time at Fork & Salad, you are greeted by not only a friendly smile, but also a plethora of choices:  five options for (local!) greens, 11 (housemade, gluten-free) dressings, 50 fresh salad ingredients.  Great, right?  But also a little daunting, if you don’t know what to order.  So Chef Travis shares some advice on keeping it simple your first time out of the gate, by ordering one of our signature salads or sandwiches; he shares his top favorites in this video above.

If you’re not yet familiar with our process, or just need a refresher, here are some questions to expect along the ordering line:

-Do you plan on eating in, or taking your food to-go?

-Do you want your salad tossed, or prefer dressing on the side?

-Would you like to add a protein?

-If you order a Signature item, do you want all the ingredients listed?

-Do you want to try your sandwich as a wrap (whole wheat or gluten-free tortilla)?

-Do you want complimentary bread with your salad (sourdough focaccia or gluten-free?)

-Do you want to add soup or a beverage to your order?  If so, what size?

-If it’s takeout, do you need a bag and utensils?

-Do you have our frequent-diner rewards card?

If you really want to research your options and take time with choosing your items, just know we have a mobile app where you can order at your own pace AND pick it all up to-go!  However you choose to order, we’re happy to welcome first-time customers…since many have evolved into our beloved regulars!  #EatLocalEatHealthy
